Metheny has scored 39 Grammy nominations and 20 wins in 12 different categories. Over the years, he has won countless polls as ?Best Jazz Guitarist? and numerous awards, including three gold records. As a teenager, Metheny regularly jammed with Kansas City?s best jazz musicians, an inspiring experience of sitting in with more mature players. Side-Eye honors that tradition.
