Event Information

Paul D'Angelo has been called "the funniest entertainer you've never heard of … yet" by the Los Angeles Times, and Boston magazine twice cited him as "The Best in Boston," then retired the award for a few years. He's appeared in the standup performance film The Godfathers of Comedy, which debuted in January on Showtime. Energetic and smart, D'Angelo's standup act has earned him legion's of fans across New England. Formerly a top prosecutor for the Essex County District Attorney's office, for nine years he lived a double life as assistant district attorney by day, headliner by night, until leaving the DA's office to pursue standup full-time in Los Angeles. There, he became a regular at the Improv and Laugh Factory comedy clubs, and at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach (Jay Leno's home club). He's a regular performer at the Boston Comedy Festival and has also been featured at the prestigious "Just for Laughs" festival in Montreal and the San Francisco Comedy Festival. He has been a national finalist in comedy contests sponsored by Johnny Walker whiskey and Sierre Mist. He's also a published, award-winning writer and artist.

Jim Ruberti is a Boston comedian and actor who has been entertaining people for more than 30 years. He has performed with the biggest comics in New England, including Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, Paul Nardizzi, Christine Hurley, Jimmy Dunn, Dave Rattigan, Mike Donovan, and Juston McKinney. Venues include the Cotuit Center for the Arts, Nick's Comedy Stop, Mass Arts Center, Comedy Key West, and more. He has performed at the Cape Cod Comedy Festival and is a cast member for the successful Ranting Parents Comedy Tour. Jim's comedy is clean and fresh, centered around family and current events.

Scott Higgins could boast the perfect resume for a comedian: In high school, he was thrown out of class for doing an impression of the teacher; voted class clown; knee-deep in torment for performing too-perfect impressions of family members at family functions. In college, between studies and slices of cold pizza, Higgins managed to enroll in a theater class. As it turned out, his professor performed stand-up at a local comedy club. When the temptation to perform became way too tempting, Higgins stepped out for his premier comedy spot at Groucho's Comedy Club in Connecticut in 1988. He was hooked. He knew that he was somewhere he belonged. Higgins' everyman relaxed style draws an audience in, then keeps them. His family based observational humor is fresh but familiar to us all! He has worked with top talent such as Tom Cotter, Jim Norton, Bill Burr, John Pinette and Jeff Garlin. He appeared in the film Street Players, a Road Rambler Films Production. Scott has been featured on XM Sirius Radio and in comedy clubs all over New England.

Ryan Shea is a Boston based comic that has been a regular in the Boston clubs for the past 15 years. He performs all over the east coast, and hosts weekly shows in various locations, including Toad in Boston. In 2016 he was asked to perform for the troops and asked back in 2017. Shea is honest, outspoken, and introspective. He brings high energy and points of view for everyone to enjoy.
