The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to host Emmy Award-winning artist Rachel Platten for an initimate conversation and performance at The Greene Space at WNYC and WQXR in New York City. The conversation will include a discussion about Platten's upcoming album, creative process, and more.  Rachel Platten is one of the many artists to be featured in the GRAMMY Museum’s New York City program series, which includes bringing a slate of the GRAMMY Museum’s renowned GRAMMY In The Schools Education Programs and Public Programs to the East Coast in partnership with the City of New York Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. “A New York Evening With…” is generously supported by the Dawn and Brian Hoesterey Family Foundation.  ABOUT RACHEL PLATTEN: When the world first met Emmy Award-winning multi-platinum artist, singer, songwriter Rachel Platten, it came in the form of a proclamation of self: “Fight Song” became a global sensation, an inescapable battle cry that’s now been streamed more than a billion times and is as inextricable to modern pop culture as any one song could be. What followed was a debut major label album, Wildfire, and its hotly anticipated follow-up, 2017’s Waves. But Rachel Platten has so much more to give and say, and so many more selves to show. A mother of two and an artist as textured and rich as you’ll ever find, Rachel has spent the years since “Fight Song” building a foundation upon which she’s growing a powerful artistic legacy. Having toured the world as both a headliner and also supporting act for legendary artists like Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Pentatonix, she’s brought her uniquely singular songwriting to adoring audiences everywhere. Her forthcoming new album (will drop in Spring of 2024) continues her mission of “integrating the dark and the light in myself,” she says; it’s a body of work that achieves a musical goal of “reconnecting people to their identity, their truth, their purpose, and their power.” The first track from her forthcoming record is GIRLS which was released as an acoustic performance (vocals and piano) prior to Mother’s Day. The track is a celebration of her daughters.
