Wynne Reynolds: Retroflection: a decade of mixed media explorations

Travis Vermilye: Conduit
Beneath our feet, all around us, and even within us, mycelial networks-essentially the vascular system of fungi-thread and connect to transport water, nutrients, and chemical signals within and between species of fungi and plants. For me, these microscopic networks are a metaphor for the way all life is connected-connections to each other, and connections between us and nature. I consider this work an ongoing experiment-a laboratory of sorts. It is my personal exploration of these connections and a way of rationalizing ideas and feelings through physical form.
