Experience a powerful conversation between tradition and innovation as Trem Brass Band and BassX share the stage. Founded and led by Benny Jones Sr., Trem Brass Band represents the heartbeat of traditional New Orleans brass band culture. In contrast, BassX, led by GRAMMY-nominated sousaphonist Julius McKee, reimagines that lineage through a progressive jazz approach, reclaiming the sousaphones historic role as a driving bass voice. Together, the two groups showcase the evolving story of New Orleans music: one rooted firmly in tradition and the other pushing that tradition boldly forward.
