Event Information

The best choral group in the Springfield area, the Springfield Choral Society, will present a two-day festival of music by American composers at First Presbyterian Church. Listeners will recogmize some of the music, and some will be new, but just as wonderful to the audience. Hear music from every era of United States history, including the Revolution, the Underground Railroad, westward expansion, and even some rock n' roll. The full Choral Society will present "This Land is Your Land", a program filled with this wonderful music. A presentation by some small ensembles of SCS will occur at the Old State Capitol on April 24. Information is available at www.springfieldchoralsociety.org
