Step into a world of imagination at the Story Festival at Ford House, a joyful, family-friendly celebration that brings stories to life across the estate.

Set against the beautiful lakefront grounds of Ford House, this annual festival invites children and their grown-ups to explore storytelling through live performances, themed activity areas, and hands-on experiences designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Throughout the day, familiar tales and new favorites unfold in playful, engaging ways, encouraging families to read, imagine, and discover together.

As you wander the grounds, you will encounter immersive storytime moments, interactive crafts and games, author meet-and-greets, and opportunities to engage with characters and creators who help turn stories into shared experiences.

Children's musical performer Jim Gill takes the stage at 11:45 a.m. The festival also features collaborations with the Grosse Pointe Public Library, Fraser Public Library, Eastpointe Memorial Library, St. Clair Shores Public Library, Harper Woods Public Library, and The Family Center.
