Mysterious Pop-Funk sensation Miss Fairchild is an 8-piece Show Band based in Boston, that crafts original dance songs full of singalong hooks, snappy drums, warm, fuzzy synths and horns dipped in 70's Soul. This engaging mélange, a sound that they call "Good Time Music", awes party people throughout the Northeast and beyond, but to understand their distinctiveness, you would need to be stranded on a small island for your entire adolescence.

Nantucket Island, best known these days as a playground for the rich and famous, might seem an unlikely incubator for a "Pop" band. But for decades, the island has also been a haven for a community of artists and musicians, a creative milieu that helped bring the talent of Miss Fairchild to fruition. Having honed their skills in Island's bars and happenings, the three founding members of Miss Fairchild (Daddy Wrall, Schuyler Dunlap and Sammy Bananas) assembled their Show Band, recruiting some of the best players in the Northeast, and set sail for The City – Boston.

The past few years have seen the release of 2007's Pop-Funk LP Ooh La La, Sha Sha, and 2008's Won't Be Your Kept Woman EP, both of which have been brought to an international audience through licensing for film ("A GIRL, A GUY, A SPACE HELMET") and TV programs (MTV's "THE REAL WORLD" and E's "KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS").

The end of 2012 sees the promotional release of "Show Band"; an album comprised of both live and studio recordings, which features Miss Fairchild's signature soundscape. The new collection, released in collaboration with Nantucket-based Cisco Brewers / Triple Eight Distillery, shows traces of the bands that MF covered in their youth. With it's groove-driven sound and anthemic refrains, drawing on such 80's inspirations as Lionel Richie, early Prince, and intricate arrangements reminiscent of Steely Dan, the LP succeeds as a bubbly sweet concoction of Pop Rock and Blue-Eyed Soul, expertly blended.

The Miss Fairchild Show Band continues to debut their "Good Time Music" throughout the Northeast to excited fans and intrigued new-comers with every performance.
