2026 River + Redwoods Film Festival (RRFF) showcases the Best of Bay Area Independent Cinema. Hosted at the historic Monte Rio Theater and Extravaganza on September 25-27, the RRFF will present narrative features, documentaries, shorts, student work, and emerging voices from the Bay Area and beyond.

This year's Festival lineup includes more than 20 films that together reflect the creativity and range of the North Bay and Bay Area, with filmmakers and artists represented from Monte Rio, Occidental, Forestville, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Sea Ranch, San Francisco, Oakland, and beyond. Many of our films have recently screened at prestigious festivals including Tribeca Film Festival, SF International Film Festival, FRAMELINE LGBTQ+ Film Festival and many more.

Festival events center around the historic Monte Rio Theater and nearby venues, creating an intimate small‑town setting where filmmakers and audiences actually meet, talk, and connect. Whether you're an industry professional, an aspiring filmmaker, or simply someone who loves discovering new stories on the big screen, River and Redwoods offers a welcoming space to experience films in community.
