ORIENT GROOVE & MIKA was founded in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2014 by Armenian-born saxophonist Arno Stepanyan.Blending diverse musical cultures while staying deeply rooted in Armenian tradition, the project evolved into a powerful octet with a distinctive sound: Armenian Jazz Fusion.Following the release of their album Novedades del Pasado and extensive touring across major cities in Argentina, Orient Groove now makes its Los Angeles debut at the prestigious Catalina Jazz Club.For this special performance, the band will be joined by distinguished guest artists, featuring the duduka traditional Armenian woodwind instrumentand violin, adding unique depth and color to the experience.In Arnos own words:Music is meant to be experienced, not explained.
