Objects is the creative confluence of John Mallinen, Raleigh Booze, and Ben Rosenbach, a three-piece ambient post-metal band from Philadelphia, PA. Born out of personal hardship and loss, the band has become a vehicle for expression, healing, and the pursuit of artistic authenticity. Drawing on influences spanning black and death metal, avant-garde classical composition, punk, folk, jazz, and ambient music, Objects crafts a sound that moves from warm, searching laments to desynchronized ambience to nightmarish sonic chaos, and somehow leaves you wanting more. Known for a powerful and dynamic live show - interweaving ambient breaks and long build-ups with heavy riffs and solos - the band brings the same emotional intensity to the stage as they do to record. Their debut album Stillness is Movement, recorded at Miner Street Recordings with Brian McTear and Amy Morrissey, releases May 29, 2026. Come celebrate the release of this album together!
