Event Information

Composers have always loved exploring their art’s extraordinary range of expression: from birdsong to lamentations, from hunters’ horn calls to the music of the spheres, and from crickets to the blast of Gabriel’s trumpet.

Join San Francisco Choral Artists for a sampling of this diverse and beautiful cacophony, as we explore the sounds that inspire composers—and hear what composers themselves have to say about music.

Featuring works by Carter, Hassler, Britten, Goudimel, Ligeti, Mendelssohn, Parker, and Vaughan Williams, along with new music by our Composers-in-Residence and Composer-Not-in-Residence.
