Hudson Sounds: Nature inspired music, art, and dance!

We will be performing compositions and improvisations with flutist Melanie Chirignan, cellist Laura Melnicoff, harpist Alex Chang, and pianist Max Caplan; with artwork projected of photos, videos, and paintings of nature around the Hudson Valley. Sarah Chien, an improvisational dancer, will dance to selections of these pieces. The program will include works by local composer Philip Spaeth, and Astor Piazzolla, Bela Bartok, Joseph Schwatner, Joshua Hummel, and Kaija Saariaho; improvisations by the performing musicians; and fixed media by Melanie Hardage. Made possible by a Saratoga Arts grant and SVAN. Rain location will be at First United Methodist Church of Northville, 301 S Main Street, Northville, NY 12134.
