Before they inspire the next generation of musicians, they come together for one extraordinary evening of music-making.

The Berkshire High Peaks Festival opens its 17th season at its new home, The Darrow School, with its annual Faculty Concert, Moonlight Sonatas. This special evening brings together an exceptional roster of internationally acclaimed artists from the Metropolitan Opera, Curtis Institute of Music, Mannes School of Music, the Peabody Institute, and leading orchestras and conservatories from around the world. The program features works by Mendelssohn, Rachmaninoff, and Kreisler before culminating in a complete performance of Antonin Dvorak's Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 81. Universally regarded as one of the greatest works in the chamber music repertoire, the Quintet is celebrated for its soaring lyricism, vibrant folk-inspired rhythms, and exhilarating finale. Performed by this distinguished faculty, it promises to be one of the defining classical music performances of the Berkshire summer.
