Event Information
The 159th Annual Jousting Tournament starts at 12 noon where riders compete for cash prizes and glory in Maryland's oldest competetive sport. Other activities start at 10 am with the church bazaar that features family friendly pleasures of yesteryear. Browse attic treasures, toys, and gently used books. Take home baked goods and homemade preserves, with face painting and pony rides at the children's corner. A traditional church supper is held from 2 to 6 pm, featuring homemade fare of deviled crab, fried chicken, ham (choice of two), potato salad, apple sauce, and more. Box suppers are available from noon until 6 pm (no children's).
Music by Port Tobacco Pickers from 11 am until 2 pm. Organ recitals in the historic church from 1pm to 4 pm The historic Port Republic One-Room Schoolhouse open house will be from 10 am to 2pm.
Admission free except supper: Adults $29 (includes crab), child $12 (ages 6-12), under 6 free with paying adult. Note: child's plate does not include crab. Hosted by members of Christ Church.
