Venue Information

In 1988 Yavapai County residents passed a bond that included $6.1 million for construction of a “Center for the Arts”. The Yavapai College Performing Arts Center includes an 1100 seat performance hall, an art gallery, a sculpture garden, and classrooms, which support the visual and performing arts. The College broke ground in 1990 and was finished in 1992.On April 26, 1992, the Phoenix Symphony performed at the Grand Opening of the Center, and they have been playing at Yavapai College on a regular basis ever since. In addition, the Center has become the home of the Prescott Pops.

Yavapai College has hosted a variety of nationally re-known performers and shows such as Wynton Marsalis, Bill Cosby, The Oakridge Boys, Broadway’s “Cabaret”, The Capitol Steps, Itzhak Perlman, the Texas Tenors, the Smothers Brothers, Garrison Keillor, The Nutcracker Ballet, and tribute bands such as ABBA, the Eagles, and the Beatles, and many more top performers.
