Trinosophes is proud to bring into its fold Brad Hales' Michigan Audio Heritage Society Museum aka MAHS Museum, opening in our third storefront in early fall, 2014. (The name of the museum is a play on the name of one of the soul producers who ran D-Town Records, and opened right next to Motown on Grand Boulevard).

While the MAHS Museum website is currently in the works, here are a few notes on the project by founder Brad Hales, proprietor of the world-renowned Peoples Records:

People may not realize that Detroit is a popular destination for music-related tourism. A worldwide network of rare record collectors exists, and Michigan has always been a hub for finding 'rares,' especially ones indigenous to our region. I see the same dealers and collectors again and again each year from England, Japan, France, Germany, and all over the U.S., who travel here because of our music.
