Venue Information

Tim's Tavern comes with such a wonderful history.  The building is believed to have been built in 1926.  It could have been a bar then and possibly a speakeasy during prohibition. The 1935 Polk City  Guide lists a bar at this address owned by a John H. Perry who named it "Jack's Tavern".  Later it went under the moniker  "Mackey's Tavern", later becoming the 105th Street Tavern in the 50's, and finally, Van's 105 Tavern beginning in 1970.  We have recently expanded into the barbershop next door "Buzz's Barbershop".  Despite our fresh remodel and upgrade, we have hoped to maintain and preserve some of the character and neighborhood history this bar lives and breathes.  Please visit and enjoy yourself!
