The Bohemian was born out of a fun hobby for Ken and Sara Beamish. Their love for visiting wineries and breweries began in 2009 with a trip to Sara's aunt's bed and breakfast in New Ulm named The Bohemian. With that visit brought a trip to Morgan Creek Vineyards and Schell's Brewing Company in New Ulm, MN followed by numerous trips around the state, country, and even Mexico to visit more wineries and brewing companies.

Tragically, The Bohemian Bed and Breakfast burned downed on July 2, 2011 taking the lives of Sara's aunt, Bobbi McCrea, as well as her two cousins, Savannah McCrea and Abby Wood. To honor the memories of these truly extraordinary people as well as to remember where a love for wines and beers blossomed, Sara and Ken decided to open The Bohemian Wine Bar and Pub.
