Venue Information

Steele Hotel, as it was first known, was built in the 1830’s by Ransom Steele. He was one of the original residents of Apalachin and one of the most influential people in the early development of the small village. Steele ran a mercantile store and was Apalachin’s first postmaster. Throughout history, ‘The RST’ , has had many designs and served many purposes; from living quarters to the area’s premier watering hole to a training facility for young men during the Civil War. Now, the Ransom Steele Tavern is the best place in town to enjoy live music, good food, and a cold drink. Stop by and be a part of history in the making.
