The Draper Mercantile and Trading Company is dedicated to the enterprise of creating economic opportunity for the region while preserving and celebrating the unique cultural heritage of Southwest Virginia.As a historic site and a long-standing tradition in the community of Draper, the Draper Mercantile remains at the heart of the community. The Draper Mercantile offers a regular calendar of free events and services to the community including live music, artisan demonstrations, beginner’s yoga, free wireless internet access and educational events. Various community groups hold meetings or events at the Draper Mercantile including NCNR, NRLT, PF, and RTM.​​
