Born Anton Zaslavski, German producer Zedd broke onto the European electronic scene in 2010 with a remix of Skrillex's "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites." Though known for his glitch, pulsing production, Zedd's musical journey began in the acoustic realm. Born into a musical family, the future producer cut his teeth on the piano at four years old and eventually moved on to drums and played in a rock band before being drawn into the digital world in 2009. Zedd built a name for himself with his remixes of artists like Lady Gaga, B.o.B, and Armand Van Helden while also releasing his own singles and EPs. In 2012, the young producer delivered his first full-length, the club-worthy Clarity, whose lead single, "Spectrum," shot to the top of the U.S. dance chart. One of the follow-ups, "Stay the Night," featuring Hayley Williams, reached number two on the British pop charts. More diverse with genres like rock and rap as influences, the album True Colors followed in 2015 and featured Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan, and Logic among its guests. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi

Zedd (born Anton Zaslavski, September 2, 1989) is a German electronic dance music producer and DJ from Kaiserslautern, Germany. He primarily produces in the electro house genre, but has branched out, drawing influences from progressive house, complextro and dubstep. Zedd is a classically trained musician, who began playing the piano and drums at the age of four. In 2002 he began playing for the German band, Dioramic, signed by Lifeforce Records. He began producing electronic music in 2009. Under the name Zedd, he has produced a wide variety of remixes and originals. He first made waves in the scene when he won two different Beatport remix contests. His first original release, “The Anthem,” broke into the Beatport Electro house Top 20. His remix of Skrillex's “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” broke into the Beatport Electro House Top 10 chart, coming to rest at #2. He has since produced remixes of well-known artists of the likes of The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Skrillex, and more. Zedd creates his music using the Cubase suite of music production applications, and takes advantage of different plug-ins including the Sylenth1, Nexus and Omnisphere synthesizers. In 2011, Zedd's remixes of Lady Gaga's tracks “Born This Way” and “Marry the Night” appeared on the special edition of her second studio album, “Born This Way.” In September, Zedd's single “Shave It Up” premiered as a 30 second teaser on Skrillex's YouTube page, this being Zedd's first release on OWSLA records. In 2012, Zedd signed with Interscope Records and released his debut single for the label, “Spectrum,” with vocals by Matthew Koma. He then produced the Eva Simons song, “I Don't Like You,” which was also released on Interscope. He also co-produced the track “Beauty and a Beat” with Max Martin and for Justin Bieber's third studio album, “Believe.” His debut studio album, “Clarity,” was released by Interscope in 2012. Zedd is an electro-house DJ and record producer from Kaiserslautern, Germany. Born Anton Zaslavski, he was surrounded by a family of musicians, he began playing the piano at the age of four. After several years of learning to master the piano, Anton began playing the drums in a band, and composed and produced numerous rocksongs in his band’s own studio. In 2009 he began producing electronic clubmusic, to much and quick acclaim. After a period of only few months he attained a remarkable level and participated in Beatport’s “Armand Van Helden / Strictly Rhythm Remix Contest”, which he went on to win. This opened up a number of new possibilities for Zedd, and only shortly after, he won his second contest on Beatport, the “Fatboy Slim / Skint Remix Contest”! This was the foundation for several cooperations with artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, P. Diddy, Skrillex, Fatboy Slim, Armand Van Helden and labels like mau5trap, Interscope, Atlantic, Strictly Rhythm or Skint Records. His first release “The Anthem” entered the Beatport charts top 20, and even made it to the second place of Track It Down charts. His remix for Skrillex’ ‘Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites’, released on ‘mau5trap recordings’ climbed up the charts to #4 on Beatport and #2 on Beatport’s Electro House charts. Zedd released his single “Shave It” on October 4th 2011 via Beatport under Skrillex’s new label OWSLA. “Shave It” is Zedd’s first single with OWSLA. One of the reasons for this rapid development is undoubtedly Zedd’s unique and highly recognizable style of composition. It stands out as very detailed and carefully produced Electro House, very playful and the same time remarkably catchy
