Born in Drogheda, Ireland, David Swan Montgomery is an Irish entrepreneur, musician, vocalist and producer/engineer most notable as the lead singer of internationally successful tribute band “Led Zepagain.” Montgomery is the voice of “Robert Plant” and founded Led Zepagain twenty years ago in Los Angeles, California. The group has toured the world including the U.S. and Canada, Europe, Japan, South America, etc., performing sold out shows worldwide in major international venues, concert halls, performing arts centers, etc. David was also invited to perform on stage with The Who vocalist Roger Daltry as well as being a guest vocalist with many other internationally known musicians. As a solo artist, David is about to release his second solo CD of original Irish-based world music with co-writer Bo Whineberg (2012 release) as well as a CD of original music with former Windham Hill artist Carol Tatum (composer/musician), who wrote two CDs for the Zeppelin-inspired rock group “Kingdom Come” on Polydor Records (2011 release). Carol is the founder and composer/arranger for her group “Angels Of Venice. David Swan Montgomery is also an accomplished producer and engineer who worked on currently released CDs by Paul Kelly (“Enchantment”) and Cynthia Romo (“The Journey”) as well as composing for and producing young pop vocalist Sinead from Dundalk, Ireland. David is also a partner in the creation of a PBS/NatGeo-style documentary entitled “The High Man” (or “tall man”) based on ancient sites and roads of Ireland corresponding to the constellation Orion. Along with childhood Irish friends and astronomers Richard Moore and Anthony Murphy, a 40 minute pilot was shot with Anthony narrating and David providing the soundtrack, with each original song corresponding to the ancient landmarks that delineate the shape of the “tall man.” Marketing plans include a DVD, soundtrack CD plus a “High Man” coffee table book, T shirts, posters, etc. David is currently seeking investors for “The High Man” project as well as the multimedia production of “Evermore.” David Swan Montgomery currently lives in Los Angeles. David has currently reached beyond the bounds of Led Zepagain’s electric show and created “Symphony To Heaven,” a full-production acoustic show featuring custom visuals and an orchestra playing string arrangements to many of Zeppelin’s classic acoustic songs. In addition, David and his partner Bo Whineberg have recently created “Evermore,” a full-scale multimedia production on par with the scale of a “Cirque de Soleil”-type show or the Beatles “Love” show, currently in development.
