From December 9 to December 12, the esteemed German concert duo The Karlsruhe Konzertduo will be traveling the midwestern United States sharing with audiences the tradition and joy of classical German Christmas chamber music.
The Karlsruhe Konzertduo consists of cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann, who have been playing together since 1998. The pair have played in 60 countries, including in series for the Schubert Society London and the Beethoven Music Society Washington, won international competitions in France and Italy, and have made several CD's under the Fiori Classics label.
On Sunday, December 10, the Karlsruher Konzerduo will perform at the Nichols Concert Hall in Evanston, Illinois. The performance will begin at 7:30 PM and will last approximately 1.5 hours. The music will include compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Händel, Johannes Brahms, Gabriel Fauré Elegie, Franz Liszt, Pjotr Iljitsch Tschaikowski, Erich Korngold, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Franz Schubert.
