Little Miss AnnIn a great city called Chicago there is a 5'2 woman (thus the name) playing a guitar and singing tunes for kids. Ann Torralba, aka "Little Miss Ann" has been teaching at the pride of Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music for over 7years.
"Little Miss Ann" brings a different sound and face to kids music. She uses her experience as a first-generation filipina-american woman, a former Chicago Public school teacher, mother, and band frontwoman to inspire kids with her upbeat folk rock music and positive messages. "Little Miss Ann" and her husband, Patrick Milani have made 3 kids cd's. Time Out Chicago has named Little Miss Ann one of 8 of the "Most Influential Kids Musicians" in Chicago as well as "One of the Best Things to Happen to Chicago Kids".
Ann's involvement in kindie music goes beyond performing, as she has helped to create popular kids music series, writes about all things kindie music for various Chicago publications, and she started the Windy Kindie Chicago Cooperative. She has also had the honor of performing with some of her favorite kindie musicians such Elizabeth Mitchell, Suzi Shelton, Charlie Hope, and Candy Band.
