Event Information

Opening of the 27th Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival in Miami Beach with the screening of the documentary by rapper, writer, and contemporary thinker Emicida, AmarElo - It’s All For Yesterday followed by his concert. The documentary by rapper, writer, and contemporary thinker Emicida, AmarElo - It’s All For Yesterday, sheds light on the history of Brazilian culture and highlights events, movements, and black characters who were responsible for the historical and cultural formation of the country, but were invisible over the years. The artist weaves together the narrative with another milestone in the timeline: the show he played at Theatro Municipal of Sao Paulo in November 2019. It also brings scenes of the creative process and the project recording in the studio, AmarElo, besides images of concerts’ backstages and interviews with Brazilian personalities. The three elements that served as a starting point for the documentary's narrative were: AmarElo, modernism, and samba. The latter is even placed as the gravitational center of Brazilian creativity in film. The realization of AmarElo - It’s All For Yesterday belongs to Laboratorio Fantasma, with the production of Evandro Fióti and the direction of Fred Ouro Preto. Food & beverage are available for purchase at the show. The Bandshell is an open-air covered venue, all programs are rain or shine. Your ticket, once purchased, is non-refundable.
