Event Information

The King of Scotland blesses his daughter Ginevras union with Ariodante, a valiant knight. Spurned Duke Polinesso seeks revenge, deceiving Ariodante with a staged tryst between himself and Ginevras attendant, Dalinda, disguised as Ginevra. Despairing, Ariodante contemplates suicide. The King Learns of the allegded betrayal, condemning Ginevra to death unless a knight defends her honor. Each performance features a different cast. Both will be equal in excellence.
