A night of transcendent songwriting from three unique but equally creative musicians. Ronald Paris is one of the monikers of Aaron Maine, who is best known for his cathartic and emotionally raw pop music as Porches. Maine's music, beyond its pop sparkle, runs deep: taking us to places in song that douse us in joy, warmth and longing, and wash us clean. This a rare opportunity to hear this beloved indie star perform in an intimate space. Half Shadow, the musical project of Portland OR's Jesse Carsten, brings an uncanny blend of dream-inspired folk-rock and poetry laden pop experiments to the night. The Portland Mercury has praised Carsten’s shows as “invariably powerful, full of wonder, and unlike anything else." Matt Bachmann, known for his time in Mega Bog and the Ed Askew band, creates unassuming experimental pop songs that embrace both the lineage of avant-garde New York and a playful, folk sincerity--excavating sincere moments of poetic truth that shine in hazy light.
