Nite Music are a four piece NYC rock n’ roll band, established in 2022 by NYC DIY veterans Jamie Frey (NO ICE, The Brooklyn What), Bryan Thornton (Holy Tunics), Stuart Solomon (Mean 2 Me) and Jamie Williams (Phil From Accounting.) In 2023, they released their debut single “(I’ve Got To Make) The Call”, recorded on analog tape, along with a video on VHS tape by experimental filmmaker Joe Wakeman. Oh My Rockness named them one of 2023’s “Hardest Working Bands In New York” playing 40 gigs in their first year as a band. The band’s sound evokes the New York grit of Television and Velvet Underground, the pop purism of Motown, Brill Building and Beatles and the heart wrenching, anthemic swagger of The Replacements and Bruce Springsteen. Sunset Honor Unit (SHU) is a sentimental pop cooperative based out of Atlanta and comprised of dueling songwriters Drew Kirby (Mothers, CDSM) and Jake Chisenhall (Delorean Gray). Taking a “singles” approach to self-production, Sunset Honor Unit songs are snappy, refined, and vibrant — primed with a premium of hooks for maximum impact. “Desire Paths”, the debut album out 9/29, is comprised of 11 such bops, leaning ever further towards the boy's roots in folk & country. Just like the album cover, they have taken to wearing cowboy hats on stage; first as a joke, later as armor, helping to illustrate their twin-headed approach to classic forms of pop songwriting.
