Lafayette Square was founded in 1788. It is the second oldest park in New Orleans. We are New Orleans' meeting place, hosting a 12 week spring concert series, a 6 week fall concert series, the 2 day Blues and Barbecue Festival and more.

Located in the heart of downtown New Orleans, the park is a welcoming green space for workers, residents and visitors to the City. It's a great place to sit under the massive live oaks, to have a picnic lunch or enjoy one of the many concerts that take place during the year.

The Lafayette Square Conservancy (LSC) is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit group dedicated to the preservation and improvement of Downtown New Orleans' premier park in partnership with the City's Parks and Parkways Department.
