While there are many bars and music venues on El Cajon Boulevard in North Park, the Soda Bar stands out above the rest with its retro design and great schedule of musicians. The bar features a fair amount of local musicians, but is also a haven to national touring acts. There is no musical genre of choice at the Soda Bar where, depending on the night, audiences can find anything from rocknroll to indie/americana to electro/pop. The Soda Bar isn't just a great music venue, it's also a great bar. The Soda Bar has been around for a while, as evidenced by the lit up sign outside and the plush seating inside. There are both large booths and comfortable stools strewn around the bar, with a selection of old arcade machines behind the bar area and pool tables on the far side of the room.
