Venue Information

Howlin’ Hill (formally Rat’s Nest Campground) is a primitive campgrounds and outdoor live music venue. Our campsites are strictly tent and hammock camping ensuring guests truly experience the call of the wild. Choose between our riverfront sites or more secluded wooded sites, all of which are just a short walk to the river. All of our campsites are shaded by a continuous tree canopy and equipped with a fire pit. We also have firewood available on site for you to purchase. Howlin’ Hill has the best beach access on this stretch of the gorgeous Duck River, and is the perfect spot for the kids to play in the water or to cast your reel a time or two. Summertime offers an amazing light show performed by thousands of fireflies. A shower house with water pumped from a natural spring gives you a place to cool off and clean up, and portable restrooms are within a short walking distance from your site. Otherwise, it’s just you and nature!
