Venue Information

The Orpheum Theatre Phoenix is a small theatre with a seating capacity of 1364. First opened in 1929, The Orpheum Theatre Phoenix was built in a Spanish Baroque Revival style, and featured highly intricate murals and moldings. Having fallen into a state of disrepair in later years, the theater was purchased by the City of Phoenix in 1984, triggering an immense 12-year, $14 million restoration project to bring The Orpheum Theatre Phoenix back to its former glory.

A performance of Hello, Dolly! on Janurary 28, 1997 marked the reopening, and The Orpheum Theatre schedule has been buzzing with activity ever since. The splendid Orpheum Theatre Phoenix is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is the current home of the Phoenix Metropolitan Opera.
