Exit / In Nashville first opened its doors to the pubic in 1971. A live music venue located near Centennial Park and Vanderbilt University, Exit / In Nashville has the means to accommodate around 500 people. Despite its smaller size, the venue has played host to many legendary names from the world of music over the years. Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Imogen Heap, My Morning Jacket, Linda Ronstadt, Billy Joel, Etta James, The Police, and R.E.M are just a few of those featured on the Exit / In schedule in the past.

Indeed, this Nashville hotspot has firmly cemented its place not only in the history of Music City, but amidst the timeless culture of rock music itself. Evidence of Exit / In Nashville’s cult status can be seen on the back cover of The Police’s Zenyatta Mondatta album where, amongst the selection of images, is a picture of Sting wearing an Exit / In Nashville t-shirt.
