Mission Dolores Academy is an independent K-8 Catholic school established in 2011 by the merger of Megan Furth Academy and Mission Dolores School. Our innovative and rigorous curriculum prepares students to succeed in the Bay Area’s best high schools while building a moral foundation to support them the rest of their lives. Our supportive community and values-based education give students a solid foundation for a successful future. 

Mission Dolores Academy is the result of mergers between several of San Francisco’s most historic Catholic grammar schools, including Mission Dolores School, Sacred Heart Grammar School, and St. Dominic’s Elementary.  The Academy’s roots stretch as far back as 1852, making it the oldest grammar school in San Francisco. Mission Dolores Academy was established when Megan Furth Catholic Academy and Mission Dolores School merged in 2011.
