Park in Dumfries, Virginia Commercial or group tour photography must be authorized prior to visit. Staff members have the right to accompany the photographer or videographer for the duration of their visit. Merchant Park is open to the public daily from dawn to dusk. The park includes almost two acres of shaded spots and open green spaces perfect for picnics, dog walking, and enjoying the outdoors. Facilities include a covered picnic pavilion, grills, and benches. The park is available to rent for special events.
