The Mahopac Central School District is one of New York's top-ranked school systems serving more than 4,800 students in its kindergarten center, three elementary schools, middle school and high school. Five Mahopac schools have been designated Blue Ribbon schools by the state Department of Education. About 90 percent of Mahopac High School graduates go on to further their education, with many attending prestigious colleges and universities. Located 50 miles north of New York City in historic Putnam County, the Mahopac Central School District offers a broad array of programs to a diverse population.
