Venue Information

Cultus Bay Gardens began life in 1986 as Cultus Bay Nursery. As a child I grew up excited by the natural world, making bug and leaf collections, watching the birds and primarily playing outdoors – from a family of scientists and artists it was formative in my direction. I was a textile major at California College of Arts and Crafts in the 70’s. Living in Oakland added to my wonder of the plant world with the huge selection of flora the bay area can grow. Not driven to make a living with textile art I headed in the floral direction.
