Performing arts theater in Conroe, Texas Historic performing arts center & former Vaudeville stage now hosting several theater companies. The Crown Jewel of Montgomery County, the Crighton Theatre, sits on Min St in Downtown Conroe. Built in 1934 as a vaudeville stage it became a movie house for decades before being refurbished and shined up to its original glory to now being the home for multiple theatre companies, youth theatre programs, and a destination of many musical artists and coveted concert venue.
