Arch Street Tavern is located in the heart of Hartford's original center. In the 1600's, the founding residents settled at the junction of the Great River (Connecticut River) and the Little River (today the Whitehead Highway).

Columbus Blvd. (Front St.) & Arch St. were among the earliest streets in Hartford. Known today as the "Father of Connecticut", Rev.
