This summer, Halifax Repertory Theatre is bringing the Tony Award-winning musical 1776 to the News Journal Center stage to celebrate America's Semiquincentennial - that's a quarter-millennium of independence, freedom, and fireworks!
A rag-tag band of congressmen. One impossible mission: birthing a nation. Led by the visionary John Adams and the razor-witted Ben Franklin, they employ Thomas Jefferson in one last political ploy to secure independence.
