To call tUnE-yArDs experimental would be an understatement, and to call it an experience still wouldn't do the artist's music justice. Through two albums, and especially on tour dates, tUnE-yArDs is helping audiences reconsider the definition of what music actually is. With dominating percussion, conflicting ambient sounds, and often unpredictable vocals, tUnE-yArDs has created a unique sound that is unlike anything heard in mainstream music. With only two albums out, fans have noticed a considerable stylistic evolution on her most recent album, w h o k i l l and are excited to see how this style will play out on tUnE-yArDs' also wholly unique tour dates in 2011. A woman named Merrill Garbus, who previously played in the band Sister Suvi, is the brainchild of tUnE-yArDs.
