About
Seattle-native music artist Anthony J. Shears released The Growth: My ENDtroduction Deluxe Edition on July 23, 2013. It's a follow up to the original 2007 release, with an additional 5 new songs. In between that time, Shears spent his days ghost-writing and producing for other artists.
Having grown up in a home where domestic violence was the norm and after his step-father was murdered in a domestic dispute in 2004, Shears began using music as an outlet to confront the issue of abuse. His music is deep, it's direct, it's real.
Shears donates a portion of the proceeds from his sales to the YWCA of Seattle in order to raise awareness and money for the YWCA’s Violence Against Women Programs.
He has since released I Thought I Could Fly, a single addressing the Trayvon Martin controversy. He is currently in the studio working on more music as he prepares for his The Growth: Basement Acoustic Tour 2013-2014
