The Crutchfield’s and Larabie’s began their friendship in October 2006 while DW & Jessie were on tour in Eastern Canada. Family and gospel music is what really brought these two wonderful couple’s together to form this dynamic new southern gospel group. While the Crutchfield’s lived in Simcoe, Ontario, the Larabie’s made their home in Victoria Corner, New Brunswick. So during that time they both could only pray that God would grant them the opportunity to live close enough to fulfill their desire to sing together as a group. In August of 2011, Matt Larabie became the Associate Pastor of Worship and Student Ministries at the Crutchfields home church, Emmanuel Bible Church in Simcoe, Ontario, thus giving them the opportunity to create Advocate. Their desire is to be advocate’s for the gospel, spreading the good news of Christ through gospel music.
